August 14, 2009

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
v.
JOHN M. VOLPENTESTA

Magistrate Judge P. Michael Mahoney

MEMORANDUM ORDER

Because of the costs of duplication of discovery materials in this case, the length of the case, and the anticipated hardship on counsel for expenditures paid out of his own funds, the court orders that court appointed counsel, Mark Byrd, be reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses incurred incident to the duplication costs of discovery.

Counsel has approval of the court for such expenses up to $700.00 and shall submit a CJA voucher for reimbursement of duplication expenses up to $700.00. No additional expenses for duplication of discovery shall be incurred without further authorization of the court.

This reimbursement shall be paid as interim payment number 1 and the final voucher number 2 will be submitted at the conclusion of the case and contain a final request for compensation earned and reimburseable expenses incurred other than duplication expenses.
