UPON CONSIDERATION of the application of the Attorney General of Texas,

IT IS ORDERED that the execution and enforcement of the judgments of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, case Nos. 89-1707, 89-1709, 90-8457 and 90-8460 are stayed pending the timely filing of a petition for a writ of certiorari. Should the petition for a writ of certiorari be so timely filed, this order is to remain in effect pending this Court's action on the petition for a writ of certiorari. If the petition for a writ of certiorari is denied, this stay is to terminate automatically. In the event the petition for a writ of certiorari is granted, this order is to remain in effect pending the sending down of the judgment of this Court.
